Hiroshima Peace Garden Celebration
For the past 5 years, Kairos Dance has been dancing in the annual Peace Concert Festival. On August 6th, 2008 we performed for a crowd of about 300 people at Lake Harriet Bandshell, with Rabbi Sim Glaser and the Social Action Figures. Kairos created a new piece for the music, Sadako and the 1,000 Cranes, sung by the Junshin Singers, a Nagasaki high school girl's choir.
Summer Celebration
Our Summer Celebration this year was hosted by Bloomington Parks at the Normandale Lake Bandshell. With gorgeous weather and a beautiful backdrop of the lake, Kairos performed an evening of dance stories that celebrate life.
Touring Troupe
Our February visit to Neil High Rise in St. Paul was the first stop on our 2008 Touring Troupe schedule.
Body & Soul
Our Body & Soul performance, in collaboration with tenor jazz saxophonist Irv Williams and his quartet, was a unique evening of jazz, dance, and memories.
